WSOP 2010 starting soon

WSOP 2010Today Friday may 28 the World Series of Poker 2010 will begin with the $500 casino employees No Limit Hold’Em tournament and more interesting this years most expensive tournament the $50,000 player’s championship where all the poker super stars are expected to clash for the fame and glory taking home the bracelet in this prestigious tournament. Tomorrow Saturday a $1000 bracelet No Limit Event will take place. This event was extremely popular last year and will be a good indicator regarding this years WSOP number of participants.

Online poker

Online poker is not growing as fast as before and this might reflect on the WSOP 2010 number of participants. In total 57 events will be played at the Harrah’s Rio Casino and Hotel with the 10.000 WSOP Main Event taking place from July 5 with more than 7000 players expected to fight for the world championship crown currently held by 2009 winner Joe Cada. The 2008 champion Peter Eastgate actually made a deep run in last years event and it will be very interesting to follow the young Dane in this years competition to see if his experience from the last 2 years will be beneficial in the quest for yet another title. We believe he will make yet another good performance and definitely hold the PokerStars sponsored Mr. Eastgate as one of the favorites this year as well. When talking about Danish players then the recent EPT winner Allan Bække will also look to play WSOP and the professional SNG player seems to have invented a great formula accumulating chips in tournaments and will also be a contestant for the title. However since each and every name player will sign up for the Main Event chances are slim to pick the winner in a very big field and only time will show who will come out on top this year. WSOP 2010 is about to begin and we wish all participants a fantastic tournament series and look forward to follow the many events and winners during the following 2 months of play.
