Master Classics of Poker, Amsterdam

The recurring Master Classic of Poker festival taking place at Holland Casino in Amsterdam is scheduled to take place November 6 to November 14 2009 for the 18th consecutive year. The Casino which is located just next to Leidseplein is a marvelous place to play some poker and with the professional dealers and tournament directors’ employed by Holland Casino the tournaments always run smoothly.

The Leidseplein area in Amsterdam where the event takes place is only 20 minutes walk from the city center shopping street in Amsterdam but Leidseplein has everything needed for players to have a good time. Two very big restaurant streets, massive with shops, discothèques, theatres and many trams passing by Leidseplein ensure activity round the clock.

The area has many fine hotels where we recommend booking a room at the Eden American Hotel Amsterdam located a very short walk from the casino and Leidseplein itself. Trams 1,2 and 5 all pass by Leidseplein towards the Central Station. From Schiphol Airport a taxi ride will cost in the area of €50. The weather in Amsterdam at this time of the year can be fairly cold and rainy and it is recommend to pack some warn clothes.

The Master Classics of Poker festival have a total of 9 events this year with the most expensive being the Main Event with a buy in of €6000+200. Players should note that the different tournaments only can accommodate up to 400 players but most of them only allow 250 participants which make online registration a must.

Registration can be done by visiting this page https://poker.hollandcasino.nl and players should most likely register sooner than later as Master Classics of Poker see their side events sold out fairly quickly. Cash games will be available daily and Holland Casino are known to host some very juicy Pot Limit Omaha games during the whole period of Master Classics of Poker.
