Match Preview

Bolton Wanderers certainly deserve praise following their 4-2 win over Tottenham. Tottenham are not an easy team to play against and their was deserved, despite letting Tottenham back in. This said, they have only won one match from the last four games against Everton and will be looking to end this series of unfortunate losses with a win at Goodison Park tonight.

Credit for bringing Tottenham back down from cloud nine ought to go to their striker Kevin Doyle, who scored a brace and his quick linkup play with Lee Davies is probably going to cause trouble for Everton’s defense as well.

Following their convincing win, Bolton is unlikely to make any changes to their lineup for this upcoming game. The formation setting will be a 4-4-2 with Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander up front, with wing support coming from Chung-Yong Lee and Matthew Taylor.

Everton on the other hand will look for a win this time, following their disappointing 2-2 draw with Blackpool on Saturday. There probable formation is the 4-5-1 with Ayegbeni Yakubu up front and wing support will come from South African Steven Pienaar and Seamus Coleman. Both Leon Osman and Belgian Marouane Fellaini are out on injuries, but hopefully this will not dampen Everton player’s spirits.

Louis Saha is also likely to make an appearance in the game either as a substitute or in the starting eleven, as a striker instead of Yakubu.

Betting Tip for Everton vs Bolton

This is going to be an interesting encounter, as both this teams are equally matched. Everton does have statistics on their side winning the last four matches at Goodison Park without conceding goals. This home advantage against Bolton will likely be decisive again tonight, as Everton generally is a stronger home than away side. Our betting tip will be for Everton to win their fifth in a row at home, although it could be a tight counter.
