EPT London Poker Festival

Next stop for European Poker Tour will be London where the EPT itself are scheduled for October 2(day 1a) to October 7. The tournament have a maximum 800 player field and with a buy in of £5000 the London EPT could end up paying almost £1.000.000 to the eventual winner.

Big names going in

Team PokerStars pro send many of their established big names to the event and players will see World Champions like Peter Eastgate, Joe Hachem, Chris Moneymaker, and Greg Raymer entering the Hilton Metropole Hotel where this years EPT London event takes place.

PokerStars have created a tournament series round the EPT called EPT London Poker Festival which already commence September 30 with the £20.000 high roller event and continue throughout the week with a total of 15 different poker tournaments to be played. Buy ins range from a£200+£20 Ladies Only Event to the £20.000+£500 High Roller event who last year was won by the young American poker player Jason Mercier.

A lot of high stakes poker action is to be expected in London. Team Full Tilt will surely send tons of famous players to make sure the media attention is not going to team PokerStars alone. Gus Hansen, john Juanda and Phil Ivey are just a few of the more expected players that can be seen during EPT London 2009.

Player should note that several of the EPT London Poker Festival 2009 events have a cap of 100 players and that registration closes as soon as all tickets are sold out. All players will be able to pay entry fees from their Pokerstars.com account and any winnings will also be able to be deposited back to the poker account should any player want this.
