BWIN Poker and Ongame accused for delivering bad software

A minor bomb exploded today when one of Ongame Networks poker clients Interwetten ceased poker operations and officially claim it is due to Ongame Pokers software problems.

The official statement on the Interwetten website states

“We regret to inform you that we find it necessary to discontinue our Poker website on November 17th, 2009 at 08:00 CET, until further notice, due to our poker provider’s failure to meet the high quality standards of Interwetten with their product.”

It is very rare to see poker licensees go public with their frustrations and complaints even it is very well known that many site owners and poker licensees often are frustrated with the software providers and the lack of knowledge in the teams running the poker rooms.

No comment from OnGame

We have been unable to get a comment from Ongame yet, but will follow the situation carefully as this could be the beginning of a big fight between the two parties as it is known in the industry that Interwetten hardly have any poker customers which make their public statement extremely odd. Interwetten would never have closed down operations if they have had any significant revenues and it looks more like other reasons than the software are behind the announcement that directly attach the software as being the reason for Interwetten to close down poker.

Ongame operators in general are very happy with the software and Betsafe which is one of Ongames biggest poker licensees have on several occasions expressed they are more than pleased in regards of the poker software.
