He will be going for his eighth title in a new Mercedes GP along with new talent and team mate Nico Rosberg, which looks like a very promising duo going into the new season.

On the other hand the two Brits Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton will be going for their third victory in a row, as the last two years champions will try to bring yet another title to the McLaren team. Yesterday the drivers completed their first free practice sessions at Bahrain International Circuit in Shakier. As expected the drivers experimented a lot with their new cars to find the right setup for today’s qualification starting at 11:00 GTM. It is quite hard to deduct concrete information about strength of the cars and drivers from the practice sessions yesterday as they might have tested different fuels and tires, which will influence the individual times depending on their choice. Most interesting was the result from the second practice with Nico Rosberg topping the time table at 1.55.409, while Lewis Hamilton came in second almost half second after and the German super star Michael Schumacher finishing third.

We will know more about the driver’s strength after today’s qualification, where a lot of things can happen to turn tables upside down as the teams adjust after yesterdays practice sessions.
